Surfing bodyboards and bycycles are available free to guests. The rolling North Otago downlands to the West offer exceptional scenic cycling, with a new new vista around every corner on mostly tarsealed roads with very little traffic.

Evening meals and drinks are available in our own private facilities.

Right across the road from our backpackers hall there is a protected wetland wildlife reserve which can be visited.

The Moeraki Boulders are also on the North Otago coastline, just 20 kilometers to the South.

Along the coast to the North, the picturesque village of Kakanui is just 4 km by road and 3 km by walking along the beach.

Further North along the coast there is the historic town of Oamaru, with penguin colonies just 16 km away..

Travelling inland, there are many scenic routes which lead to the Waitaki Valley, or you can travel through the Danseys Pass to reach the Maniototo.
